One thing I can say to anyone wanting to know if they shoud be getting this release, every AWVFTS release has grown on me, whether over a period of time of by repeated plays. They continue to challenge me as a listener.
This is heightened by the various compositional styles they use for each piece, some seemingly experimental, others very AWVFTS like. This release sees the team moving around in different ways as they paint the audio picture for the work it was commissioned for so isn't as fluent as other albums, but it is still a challenging listen worthy of the time and effort, and above all else when played at a higher than usual volume, sounds amazing.
